How to set up a new Branch

To set up a branch, you would typically navigate to the 'Branch' setup screen and then configure various aspects related to it, including insurer references, user access, and payment settings.
Here are the steps and relevant configurations for setting up a branch:
1. Access the Branch Setup Screen:
    ◦ Go to Admin > Setup > Branch. This screen is where all active branches in the system are presented.
2. Add a Branch Record (within DEFT Payments Configuration):
    ◦ If you have multiple companies, select the appropriate company from a dropdown.
    ◦ If multiple branches are present, each can have its own DEFT biller number. Use the green plus button to add a Branch record within the DEFT Biller Number settings. Details set here will override parent Company settings for DEFT transactions.
3. Configure Insurer Branch References:
    ◦ In the Branch screen, select a branch to work with.
    ◦ On the Details Tab, click the green plus button to add an insurer.
    ◦ Select an Insurer from the Carrier Dropdown list.
    ◦ Add a Key. If this is an integrated product, the key must be agreed upon with the insurer and an integration fusion specialist.
    ◦ Add a Value. This will be the reference the insurer uses to describe the company and branch, and for integrated products, it needs to be agreed upon with the insurer and integration specialist.
4. Enable Branch Restrictions for Users:
    ◦ Go to Admin > System Parameters > System Parameters (INSURANCE).
    ◦ Select the checkbox for ENABLE_MULTIPLE_BRANCHES_FOR_USERS to allow users to be restricted to one or more branches.
5. Set Up Branch Restrictions for a New User:
    ◦ Go to Admin > Access > Users.
    ◦ Select the user you want to work with (note: branch restrictions cannot be applied to users with Javln Administrator rights).
    ◦ Select the Branches tab on the right side of the User screen.
    ◦ Use the Green plus button to add the specific branches the user should be able to access within their role.
    ◦ Ensure that the default agent and company representative for the user match one of the branches added.
    ◦ Click Save.
6. Configure Branch-Specific Branding for Reports

To create branch branding, currently a ticket must be raised and the JAVLN Support team will be able to assist.
