How to set up a new Insurer Representative (Company Rep)

To set up a new Insurance/Company Representative, follow these steps:

Navigate to Business Entities
Go to the Administration menu and select Business Entities.

Select/Create Company Rep
In the "Business Entities" screen, you will find a category for "Company Reps". You can either select an existing Company Rep to modify, or use the green plus button (often at the top right) to create a new one.

Define Details
Fill in the necessary identifying details for the Company Rep (e.g., Name,
Description). While specific fields unique to Company Reps are not detailed in the sources, general descriptive information would be expected, similar to how Agents are configured.

Save Configuration
Ensure you save any changes made to the Company Rep's details.

Important Considerations for Insurance/Company Reps:

Association with Branches

A Company Rep is typically associated with a specific branch. When setting up users, their default Company Rep must match one of the branches they are authorised to access.

User Assignment
Users can be assigned a "Default Company Rep" in their user settings (Admin > Access > Users).

Client Assignment
When creating a new client, a Company Rep is selected in the "Main Details" tab. The system will apply visibility and restriction rules for Company Reps based on the logged-in user's configuration.

Reporting
Company Reps are often used as parameters in various reports, such as client statements and active client lists.

Visibility Status
Inactive Company Reps might still be visible for reporting purposes. Issues where inactive Company Reps were selectable or where the dropdown was blank have been addressed in system updates.
