I have been locked out of my account

If you're locked out of your JAVLN account because of too many failed login attempts, you'll see a "Too many failed login attempts. Please try again soon." message. 

A 5-minute cooldown period is put in place before you can try logging in again.


Here are the two ways to get back into your account:

1. Reset Your Password

This is the most direct way to regain access.

  • On the JAVLN login screen, click the "Forgot password?" link.


  • Enter your email address when prompted.


  • Click SEND.

  • A confirmation banner will appear, letting you know that a password reset email will be sent to your email address if it is valid.

  • When you set your new password, a list of password complexity requirements (e.g., minimum characters, special characters, etc.) will be displayed and will turn green as you meet them.

2. Administrator Intervention

An administrator can unblock your account for you.

  • An administrator can see that your account is blocked by a lock icon next to your name.

  • The lock icon displays the message "Blocked: Due to too many failed login attempts" when hovered over.

  • The administrator must click the link next to this icon.

  • A pop-up will ask, "Are you sure you want to unblock?".

The administrator must click UNBLOCK to restore your login ability and reset your "Failed Attempts" count to zero. This action is exclusive to administrators.
